sure there might be more people with guns in the US than other places, but it also depends on the place you live in....around here, there has not been any major incidents (burglary, shootings, gangs). im not sure of how many people own guns around here, but there is a town close to here, which has(or had) a law that every house should own a hand gun. and it had the lowest crime rate in Georgia....

We have all the same quality guns everyone else does. Personally I don't see the point of taking guns away from everyone. Criminals will ALWAYS get their hands on guns. All it would do is stop good, trustworthy people like me acquiring one.

The answer of the gun lobby, which has way to much power in the US, was quite bizarre ( i am referring to the massacre which happened in the cinema some month ago): "If everyone in the cinema have had a gun, the massacre could have been avoided."

That might be true in that particular case, but i highly doubt their logic: more guns -> more safety( less shot people) will ever work out...

Imho, If someone in the studio had HAD a gun and had known how to use it. (Very unlikely nowadays, but still) Then the massacre could possibly have been avoided. Despite the body armor, a good marksman could have put him down.
