Any chance of this being implemented by default? Lots of people would appreciate it, including me.

It would have to be accessable from the main menu for practical reasons, though. Too bad I'm too nub to do any of this. ;____;

But then for the people that dont want it, they would have 2 annoying brackets in front of there name...

Wouldn't it be possible to remove the brackets and make the character limit 6 instead of 4? So you could add [] or | or whatever you prefer yourself? Or disable the brackets when no clantag is provided?

Yes it is possible. But you didnt state that in the above post. ;)

You will run into space allocation issues if you try to use colors as it only allocates four characters for the clantag. You can try increasing it by changing this line

char authClantag[4];

to something more reasonable like

char authClantag[10];

I already done this, but I put it to 9. :P

It shouldn't because I didn't compile the exact code of yours, I removed where it automatically puts the "[" and "]" you have to put the brackets/etc in the 3rd line yourself. :)

My download should do that.

Learn to read code... It already checks for an empty clantag and doesn't use the brackets if strlen() == 0.... and if you want custom brackets just change the code yourself... its not that hard.

Well I didn't try it w/o a clan tag, so I just assumed what they said was correct. :P

if this mod work with "[ ]" and " | " why dont you upload the file? that could be helpful :P

Add what ever you want your clan tag to be to the end of your iw4m.ini WITH the "[ ]" or "|" etc.

Download

VirusTotal

after paste your files, this how it look like in iw4m.ini?:

AyieJ

mypassword

JTF

or should i put JTF| on the 3rd line?

It should look like...

AyieJ

JTF

It will automatically put [brackets] around it in game.

mine didnt have auto [bracket], i just manually add JTF| in the 3rd line :P

When you open your game, choose for it to save your login credentials if you haven't already

Go into your game folder. There is a file called iw4m.ini.

Open it up and it should look like this:

YourUsername
YourPassword

You want it to say

YourUsername
YourPassword
clantag
