Because you have to turn enable manual install in xfire ._.

No i mean its not detected the game...

1) Go to C:\ProgramData\Xfire and double click xfire_games.ini Note: Program Data folder is hidden.

2) Scroll down to [5993] LongName=Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer and under it, replace with LauncherExe=LaunchIW4M.exe and with DetectExe=iw4m.exe and save it.

3) Now got to Xfire and click Tools and Options, you'll be able to see Games menu ..and under it there are Installed Games and Not Installed, double click Not Installed and scroll down until you see Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer.

4) There is Automatically Detect which you have to click to Manual Detect and under Game Path: browse to C:\Users\***\AppData\Local\IW4M\LaunchIW4M.exe..Note: *** is the admin user. For Detect Path, set path to your Game Folder for iw4m.exe and click OK under it.

5) That's it..just restart your xfire. Hope it works for you all.

Well I don't use Xfire, I use a new alternative that outperforms Xfire, Hamachi etc. It's called Evolve.

 

However, I'm still having a problem that it doesn't detect 4D1 IW4M. It used to work well with the aIW version, but does not with 4D1. As MW2 is still in my library I can set the launch path:

 

Still, it seems it doesn't change anything. It doesn't detect the game after it's launched.

If anybody happens to have Evolve or might want to try it out and has any ideas for solution of this bug, please share

It has IM, VoiP, VPN and more.

 

Ok, now I got a detection rule that seems to work fine. Now could anyone confirm that iw4m.dat file in the game dir is a part of 4D1 version of IW4M and every single person playing 4D1 has that file located in the same dir as iw4m.exe? I mean, isn't it a leftover file from aIW?

Hi, this program worked before I reinstalled my computer. Before I reinstalled it was on Windows 7 x86 and now im on Windows 7 x64 it doesn't work... Every time I try to open the program it just tells me there's an error... I've tried doing it manually and it doesn't work that way for me.

Any ideas?

where can I find the iw4m.exe? I'm having a bit of trouble. Using Windows Vista Business 32-bit

What I I just was:

LauncherExe=LaunchIW4M.exe

DetectExe=iw4mp.exe

 

Then when I launch it from X-Fire it works fine, problem is X-Fire is not working in-game (even with the disable X-Fire In-Game box unchecked)

 

Any help for helping me make X-Fire work in 4D1 IW4M?
