I have classic cable and yet downloading an ISO is faster than reading it from a disc...

For some stupid reason my street doesn't even have cable. So I have classic adsl.

Or to save all the hassle, you could just use an old optical drive. Everyone has one in their stash of old PC crap. But, some people need/use them and others don't. Nuff said.

But you missed the point, yes, there is a workaround for everything if you don't have an optical drive, but it doesn't hurt to have one. I rarely use it myself, but if I had to go to a library every time I needed some file, I'd be fucked. I'd rather have an optical drive collecting dust for months before being used than having to go to the library.
