sounds great, the games they showed looked great......but the ps3 sounded great to....and some of the stuff didnt happen/work as well as they planned.

Anyway, hopefully they aren't retards like they were with the newer ps3's/ ps3 slims and allow it to play ps1/ps2/and ps3 games.

I doubt that will happen though, they still wanna make money off those older consoles. (So i guess they aren't retards, just assholes) :?

I don't have an opinion of it yet, it's not even out and there's no game on it that uses it to it's full capability, as far as I'm aware.

The graphics in the demo for the latest killzone game are kinda like a modern game running on some high settings on a PC, which can be compared to the killzone 3 graphics on a ps3. But then again, we all know what happened with aliens: colonial marines and its demo. So yeah, I'm curious to see the progress.

Which makes me think how much further in graphical developement can we go, without making devs work for 15 years on a game to polish all details. There must be an end to this eventually, we will reach something from which we can't significally move, just a few different settings from engine to engine.

 

It would actually be great for users if it happened, as we wouldn't have to update rigs so often, but hardware companies would push out new techs just to sell their hardware, ie. real time ray tracing, which takes super computer today but might be possible with regular rigs later.

Looks promising but damn they could have atleast showed a picture of the console if they are already announcing it. Now lets see what Micro$oft's has in store

Indeed, and in this case I expect the difference to be even higher, since the demo was played on a PC "with very similar specs to the PS4".
