Well, I enjoy Movie, Game OSTs, from music that is produced now. Maybe some good electronic music. Dubstep and DnB is not really my taste, but still, listenable.

 

Oh, and some underground metal bands which weren't influenced by Slipknotfaggotry etc

Alice in Chains is good. One of my favorites rock bands.

The controversial dubstep. But stuff like Phaeleh, Blackmill, I've gone back to Flux Pavilion, for some reason, but his old stuff. Also liquid drum and bass, it's really relaxing.

Rush are good man, though I can't say I still listen to them much these days. Still really into blues / rock bands though, been listening to Stevie Ray Vaughan for years now.

There's no "good", nor bad music. Instead, everyone has their own music taste, which is based on personal liking and a bunch of psychological factors. However, since you like soundgarden, I can recommend you to two great grunge bands apart from the very mainstream ones which you probably have heard about: Overwhelming Colorfast and Pearl Jam.
