The project you speak of in your original post is indeed retarded, but imho word filters won't do a lot as they're easy to bypass.

The fact that you need 10 posts or so before you're able to post links is already a considerable problem for spammers.

 

Side note, 4D1 will be providing all mods people want (except for T6, but noone is providing T6 atm) when T5M/pT5 is released, so there's no real reason for 4D1 players to switch to a copy-paste project as they don't have any improvements/capable devs.
