When I try to open IW4M.exe, it shows a cmd trying to open iw4m.dat then closes fast, IDK why is this happening, but could u help me?

Its suppose to open a console window then close fast... But then after that you are suppose to get a login dialogue... Are you not getting the login dialogue?

IW4M.exe? You shouldn't be opening that. Try opening "Play IW4M (Modern Warfare 2)" from your start menu.

Same thing, mike, it still wouldn't open...He tried to help me, but it still won't work, maybe a mod can help me. Whenever you come with a solution, just reply.

Pretty sure mods won't do individual cases like this...if you can find a bunch of people with similar issues I guess you have a shot. Anyway, can you check to see if it installed correctly? It should be here:

C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Local\IW4M

:?: :?: :?: :?: :?:

I really have no idea...guess you'll have to wait for someone that knows what is going on...

In the meantime play the campaign. MW2 actually has the best campaign of any FPS I've played. I have 120+ hours on campaign alone on PS3.

That stinks, but yes, mw2 is the best campaign. I want MW2 MP fixed. I have never tried FourDeltaOne in my whole life... But I have played MW2 on my steam account which was banned in 2009. I bought MW3 last year. MW3's awesome too. but i want MW2..I used to play AlterIWNet right after my account was banned. oh well..Thanks guys!

Do u run the game from this folder?:

X:\Users\User\AppData\Local\IW4M

*change the highlited

I don't even have that folder ._.

That's probably cause you used the client updater underneath the Download button.

To the OP: Download the client updater, and extract it in your MW2 folder and run it.

I did launch the exe through the appdata/Local/IW4M. it still the same thing lol

It installs a bit differently, and I use it and I have no problems with it.

Hmm, thats weird, cuz I DO have problems with it, When i launch the exe, shows a cmd, then closes fast.

But AlterRev works, but i want FourDeltaOne instead.
