I was playing 4D1 at my friends house and noticed that they had a mod folder in their game,

Create a Class

CallSign and KillStreaks

Barracks

Mods

Options

Quit

 

I don't have the mods option, does anybody know how to get it?

Just create a folder named Mods in your directory.

Download the updater, and select your MW2 folder.

you must be missing the raw files from m2demo. Do what vextor said. Download the updater, and select your Modern Warfare 2 folder.

The mods menu will show with or without mods folder. Just be a blank box until you load some in that folder.

 

if you don't have m2demo..then you would get the original Modern Warfare 2 main menu just like the old aiw days. So just think of it as new files written on top of the original menu and gameplay files. They are not gone or deleted for good.

Thanks for the replies, i found out the problem, my anti-virus always deleted the update before i could run it so now i have just disabled that and run the update and now i have the mods folder. Cheeers Guys!

raw files?

Run LaunchIW4M.exe and the game should update if you have any AV installed disable it until DL is finished..
