Does shitRev have reverse project synthesis allowing rev players to join 4d1 servers?

I see a lot of people with "NameHere" even on non-rev servers (I have legacy: off in filters and server didn't have * ).

They can use our servers, most of the time (it seems to fail often). But I'm not really sure about the cheaters part. I do know that a 4d1 user can cheat on legacy servers, I don't know if arev users can cheat on ours.

Also every legacy player do receive nice chat-spam about getting latest 4d1 client version, so its good propaganda.

I'm not aware of how well our anti-cheat is working right now. But as soon as it's considered reliable, we should block arev users. That would make 4D1 the competitive community, and arev the cheaters sewer.

Because of this kind of questions, the day that our server was down, I went to the alterrev site and downloaded the M2 files (because I already had the files from my to the M1), but I just went to play on the M1 build and for my surprise I could see servers that I can see on 4D1, a big WTF for this, that's why I see so many hackers in the servers.

Well, dedicated servers rely on server dvars to report to other masterservers.

My idea was to reject clients from masterservers where the dedicated server isn't reporting to.

For example, if a dedicated server host would decide to put this:

set sv_master2 ""

on his server.cfg, then that dedicated server would refuse aRev clients to join it.

A lot of people complain that 4D1 servers have cheaters that come from aRev client. With this method, we could open the door for dedicated server hosts to start forcing clients to move to 4D1 to play on their servers. It would be a progressive push (whenever another dedicated server host would get tired of having cheaters on his server)
