So thats it. I bought mw2 so i could download 4d1 and start playing again, but to be honest, i did not expect such level of buggedness, every other time i try to join some server, i get different errors, and on top of that, my regular mw2 does not work anymore?

 

 

As the cherry on the cake, what makes my game completely unplayable is that when i aim down the sights:

 

1. How can i make my regular mw2 work again?

2. Do i have to quit 4d1 overall or is this sights thing a known problem?

I had the same problem, sometimes after ads your fps drop to 5 or something, disabling dof fixed it

This buggy piece of crap: I had to buy the real game, i have had nothing but errors ontop of eachother from the very first moments of running it, and on top of it all, my real mw2 can't find any matches any more. I'm not the only person in the forums with the last problem.

And if you're going to bitch about it, then just fucking delete your MW2. Steam MW2 is broken anyways, so good luck with playing there.

 

Also, 4D1 is actually a M2 version (updated) of the old AlterIWNet 1.3.3.7a version.

 

4D1 actually works perfectly for me, so it's not a "pathetic less-than-alpha-state shade of alteriw". If you hate NTAuthority and will hate on his work, GTFO. We don't need you to start flame wars against the community and his work.

OP is stupid. Verify game cache via steam after you delete the 4d1 files, make a backup, then try installing again. This is one of the easiest things to install.

All these error threads make me face palm, I bought the game and installed AlterIWNet and now FourDeltaOne, never have had problems with the game other than the official bugs that are caused by the team, currently there are none of that sort, so it is your fault.

Rarely DoF fucks up. Not FDO fault. Just turn it off, it doesn't make a huge difference in visual appearance.

 

FDO doesn't replace any files, so to play Steam MW2 just launch it through steam.
