Hyper Carries = Super Strong until everyone gets a freaking Thornmail.

I don't think you should spend your money on a 6300 carry yet - have you tried other roles? You seem fine in AD Carry, but what about tank/jungle/top/support/mid? You might like them. Oh, you have to play them if some other person instalocks an AD carry (i'm a big fan of good team composition )

 

For AD carry, the most used is generally Caitlyn, Graves, Corki, Kog'Maw, Vayne, but Vayne is quite hard to master due to her tumbles and movement skills. For easy AD carrying, Ashe, Caitlyn, Sivir.

 

For somewhat easy to play tops, I recommend Jax. He doesn't have many combos (except stun timing with leap strike) and is quite solid. (I like Jayce also, but he has combos to deal with, not just autoattacking 247 like ad carries).

 

Mids, aka ap carries, normally have combos to learn - use the free mids every week to see if you like them.

 

Jungle isn't much of a pre-lv20 thing - you should have some runes before you do that.

 

Tank is very easy to play, just soak up damage and protect your ad/ap carries - I like Shen (very nice ultimate), and Amumu myself, but there are lots of tanks out there.

 

If you want kills, don't play support or tank.

 

tl;dr - play the free champs each week before you do buy a 6300 IP champ. Else, try out the 3150 ones, they're quite nice and not too expensive if you're bored of 450IP champs.

 

Oh, also, if you have time, glance at RIOT's champion spotlights on their youtube channel, you can learn a lot from them. And as I said before, search up the character on mobafire before you play a new champ - helps a lot.

 

Oh, and learn the normal builds for each type of char.

eg AD Carry - berserker boots, infinity edge, phantom dancer, last whisper, bloodthirster, guardian angel.

For ad carries, normally start boots/3healthpots if without heal support, otherwise try dorans blade start. Then build up to attack speed boots, and get your BF sword as soon as possible - build that into bloodthirster (don't forget to farm the passive) or infinity edge. Then phantom dancer/BT/LS (if enemy has lots of armour), etc.

AD= attack damage

AS= attack speed

AP= abilty power

OP= overpowered

CS= creep score ( the number of minions or neutral monsters you've killed)

Gank = coming to another lane for a surprise attack

GG= good game

KS= kill steal

BD=back door (pushing a lane while teams are distracted)

mia (north america)/ss (EU:W)= say this when your lane opponent is missing (normally means they're going for a gank on one of your other lanes - your teammates will thank you for the warning) --- or they could just ward.

so whats with all the Soraka haters lately....almost every game ive played when i pick Soraka they say "can you please play a different support"...when i finally felt like changing i picked jana(some prefered jana over soraka in my games).....and i felt so useless

the border is a trophy for ranked from 2nd season...not sure if the steel border is for gold silver and bronze or just one of them........but yea, its from ranked

The new Soraka build:

Items: Boots, Sightstone, Philo stone x2 so you can build Eleisa's Miracle (which, sadly can't be stacked) and Shurelyas.

Summoner spells: Heal + Exhaust, you can't lose any fight now because you got 3 heals, and one of them is a sick armor buff which grants up to 125 armor.

Why Soraka? You can fck up any AP carry with your silence, destroy the other team's damage capability by healing up EVERYTHING. As long as you have an awesome tank in your team such as Singed, there's nothing the enemies can do unless they have Olaf.

Masteries: 0-7-23, the CD on summoner spells is MANDATORY because you want your summonner Heal CD to be 216 seconds, which is because of 30% CDR on it from mastery and Eleisa's MIracle, which becomes part of your character after leveling up 3 times with it in your inventory.

How to play: Silence anyone with burst and CC, give that armor buff/heal to the ones diving or taking heavy damage. In case someone is close to dying, SPAM DEM HEALS.

Abilities: Focus heal, Mana for your ADC/Silence vs cc'ers and bursters 2nd priority.

 

Also: Soraka with summoner Heal + her ult ---> Counter Karthus ANY DAY.

 

Seriously, Soraka heals are so OP your enemies will get butthurt.
