I recently downloaded the Steam Mw2 files. And added the files that are necessary for IW4M to work. It does work perfectly, the game and all, but I still have a few questions.

 

1) Why do we have to open Steam everytime to validate files?

 

2) Why can't we close Steam, once IW4M is open.

Of-topic. Could these files be causing my Mw2 Steam not to run properly e.g. 0 players in list, and I can't connect to other people or lobby's. (I HAVE MADE A COPY OF THE FILES, THE STEAM MW2 FILES ARE CLEAN)

Account is being validated, not the files.

 

So we will have to start steam everytime. wow.

 

Steam limitation, imho you can kill Steam.exe without any effect to the game.

 

I have tried. It crashed the game, as in frozen.

You would have needed to anyway since it's a ''steam'' mod. which is allowed. But ACTAvision is still trying to stop IW4M

you cant necarily close steam iw4m is running but you can have steam in offline mode and start iw4m
