Well I can understand this all goes to NTA, he deserve at least a few beers for all the work he did

Nice to see some people thinking on those terms.

 

NTAs work is Par Excellence, and is not commensurable. The whole hearted, selfless efforts by the whole FD1 team (Mods,Techs etc) also cannot be measured.

 

However, a combined effort from 156267 (till now) members can still be enough to express their gratitude.

 

A few beers? Maybe a sea of it? (for that matter)

 

But why the staff doesnt get money. Is it that because the money is too less to even keep-up the hardware etc, and gets exhausted in coping up? OR they are already too well employed/paid somewhere, and dont care for tits-bits of charities?

We never asked for it, and we (or at least I) don't think it is proper to start paying staff members, mainly due to the bad repercussions that that could have (envy between members due to unfairness, etc.). We're happy as we are, and we agree on the fact NTA deserves all the money.

Also, why should the staff get any kind of money ? This is a 'free' project, and we are moderating these forums in our free time. And NTA needs the money to well keep the servers up and such.

Thats a considerate approach. Specially when you are dealing with kids, well should say kids dealing with kids; understanding their capacities, desperations and unfeasible demands.

 

Thats what makes FD1 different, from those who are not playing by the script of 'revolution', but using their potentials for monetory rewards Only.

 

There are still some grownups, who dont have that *burning fire* left in them and do it under the influence of revenge etc, or as they say "Already earning ВЈ3000 a month, care no shitz for the money even"

 

So to conclude my *speech* , I know why I have donated, for the exact cause, and to the perfect people...err person...well...
