No MP update for TeknoMW3.. good news for IW5M

Reaver has stated that he's not releasing an MP update for TeknoMW3, so I guess that's good for IW5M. Now we just have to get this project released! :)

The SP has been done for like 2-3 weeks. I will release it since smurf seems to have no interest for MP.

I like playing on tekno if theres a good server with active admins. Oh wait, those kind of servers dont exist

What I get from Reaver's twatter is that he has actually updated the MP, but...he doesn't want to release it or something like that. Their "offline/lan" mod for FIFA is down the tubes, though.

 

In any case I don't care for TG. Their service is horrid due to a number of reasons, if I wasn't weary of using the FoV Changer, I'd play on Steam, but unfortunately I do not wish to fall under Infinity Ward's traps of laziness and become unfairly banned by VAC due to the lack of even a basic FoV slider. And playing on 65 is just clinically challenging for me.

 

Even if they update their client, their service will remain inferior to IW5M which is enough for players to switch over.

While IW5M is being developed for online play, with anti-cheat and so on, TeknoMW3 was made for LAN. The fact that there's a masterserver and people can play online with it is just an extra.

People criticize the way that they play it online when they forget it was made for LAN.

People will obviously move to IW5M because most of them want to play online. Plus, IW5M will offer some extra features. IW5M will obviously be better than TeknoMW3 because TeknoMW3 doesn't change the Steam installation that much.

Still, I respect and thank their work. If it wasn't for their patch, the game would just hang on "connecting to online services" while on LAN.

This type of competition or flaming really doesn't make sense. Having updates or not on TeknoMW3 doesn't affect FourDeltaOne in any way.

 

and I felt like writting a couple things more... but to avoid flaming even more, I'll just tell OP to remember that he has an active participation on both projects. Remember that, when you feel like opening topics such as this one.

Yes this is true, We should respect each other. But... also TeknoGods made it clear that It is not even allowed for the Cracked Mw3. But yet it still works, and I must say yes the TeknoGods services are sort of bad especially since there is no aCI, no DLC maps supported. Everything is true, but the Piraters like myself and others who Really get no income what so ever....Could play the game and tell others their experience. But I can see why NTA says TeknoMw3 is bad. NTA's work is Mindblowing while it is only 1 person (I think thats what I heard) But yes NTA we should respect each other and try to help each other :) For all we know we could use some of Reavers help to Finish IW5M?? and you both could perfect it!

True, true. Just keep on mind that Tekno are making LAN games, it's not supposed to be real online mod so i think comparing TeknoMW3 to IW5M is senseless... Anyways, im waiting for this TeknoMW3 update, i want to play DLC maps on survival like now.

Almost every server that's why i stopped playing it ...

Something inversly happening in one project can favour the other? How can one smile, if someone is about to go down?

...thinking on those aspects is kind of low level thinking, and that too from a guy who had been an active member of AIW, joined TG prior to joining FD1, and now behaving like some opportunist.

 

They incidently (because of AIW's closure, I must say) became the first to introduce Offline/LAN Ranked dedis. Also it gave people like OP to show their worth by the services/support they have provided to their community, and earned a little bit respect.

 

*Sigh*

I felt sorry for that community and thought, "What will the guys over there do, start from Level 1 again?"

(or the OP will write a nice piece of "Tut" of RankHacking, like in Interlabs)

 

We must learn to respect the work, the people and ourselves, and abstain from things that defies our Maturity/age.

After all, we have a common goal:

To give the gamers what Original developers tried to take away from them

TG did some things but really the main point was to provide free MW3. The offline/LAN ranked dedi's yes were a feature and they could have easily stopped there. But they decided to provide the feature to play online on their own servers, the only additional feature being ranks. Nothing else was actually added. It was just an attempt to make the project LOOK legit, but really their main goal was to provide free MW3.

 

Our projects goal is to provide a better MW3. Yes, probably the original goal of this/alterMW3 was probably to provide a free MW3 experience, but we are actually somehow adding to the game, with the new scripting API (I've seen the mods like OMGMP7 by xXxNTAxXx), and various support for other things, like B3, and TNet.

Exactly. Whatever you say, the most objective look on this is that TG did it in order to:

 

1. Get money

2. Get revenge on NTA (due to MW2)

3. Get some sort of fanbois going on

4. Get more money by promoting piracy of ATVI property

Cheaters aren't a big problem as long as you've got plenty of admins. ;)

I honestly hope that's a joke.

 

Well im almost always in my server,and if im not one of our other admins are so we dont have a problem with hackers. I can't speak for other servers though.

Wallhackers will still hack and pass that as a "UAV" or "skill" Admins might be effective, but they can't stop all the hackers, and there are even some who are douches who kick anyone playing better than them.
