not being able to hear footsteps has ruined the game for me :( even with SitRep Pro it's not as good as it was in C*d4 and MW*2. Probably Acti(v)ision was trying to balance the "ninja" thing in MW*3, so the solution they've got to is to remove the whole footstep sounds. I was so used to soundwhoring and it was the thing that made me quite superior to other opponents.

google the issue, there are tons of people complaining about it.

I know what you mean. Then don't soundwhore, use an ACR with silencer and an FMGay akimbo.

Don't forget to include last stand, marksman, scavenger and cold-blooded(or whatever it's called in MW3)

Not to soundwhore is not the solution, then removing Perks and UAVs and other equipments would be explainable with the same excuse: "Then don't used it".

This are two diffrent games, ofcourse everything will be diffrent ._. also soundwhoring in IW5M is easy ._.

MW(2) and C0D4 are in the same level in this case. Both easy to soundwhore. and as you know MW(2) and MW(3) are almost the same game.

 

If you too are saying it's easy to soundwhore in MW(3), then either there might be two different versions of the game available(I'm serious about it), or you too don't know what soundwhoring means.

I can easily hear enemies even without sitrep pro . Something is wrong with you, not the game.

Well, what did you expect? IW5 is bullshit anyways.

It uses exactly the same soundengine as MW2, since it's the same idtech3 or whatever that outdated piece of shit is.

 

Just get a proper headset and a sound card and you'll be able to hear people just fine. If I can hear footsteps on my shitty laptop onboard, you really need to get a better headset.

I doubt it - It might be the same basic engine, but they definitely changed something.

Sure I do use headphones. But it's not the case. with the exact same headphones there's a huge difference between MW3 and MW2/cod4.

As much as I try to convince myself nothing has changed, I just fail. It's toooooo obvious for me.

They have changed the sound system, I've played CO-D4 for like 3 years, MW*2 1 and 1/2 year, playing 400+ hours of original MW*3 and this. There is a difference when someone is hiding behind a wall, the sound will be different, you try hearing footsteps out in the open, it sounds like normal CO-D*4 and MW*2.

 

The main difference is the walls and rooms, when you can't 'see' their foot, the sound 'bass' will be louder and not sharp.

They actually trying to make it more realistic, but I guess its a flaw, at least for me.
