Connecting to online services takes forever. Although I can play IW5M with no problems. Maybe someone knows how to fix this? Thanks!

Generally if no one posts is because no one knows a solution. The only thing I can think of it to sync your windows time.

You could also try disabling your firewall and anti-virus software.

I am also facing the same problem.

 

1. reinstalled mw3

2. ports forwarded

3. anti virus and firewall disabled

4. time synched

 

Anything else is required?

I tried to do that already but it still doesn't work... I just re-installed the whole game like 10 minutes ago, still doesn't work. Is it maybe that I have the reloaded version and not the steam version? :l

That's not a common problem, and it's one of those problems that just makes me feel like telling you "just buy another computer" (and since that's what most people here must be feeling when they look at this topic, I guess that's why they avoid answering it, just like I did until now). In normal conditions, that problem wouldn't happen.

That guy was having the same problem and found out that the problem was his network card drivers.

Maybe it's your drivers, maybe it's your router, maybe you need to uninstall your anti-virus... but it's certainly not a problem with the game files. So, reinstalling the game files is useless.

My friend had the same issue,he updated the network drivers and it worked like charm...

i have the same problem. if u are using killer2100 network card the drivers somehow conflict with the server. and the servers is stuck at connecting to online services. if u have this card uninstall the drivers and the server will start to work. a fix for this is yet to come

wich wouldn't tell us anything new about the error.

Now what might be of hand would be a dev log. But it would take too much work to create, just to catch some commonly known errors.

did u check if ur ports are open? server not running from 2 different machines relates to your internet.

check the ports 27015, 27016, 27017, 27018

go to google search for "portforward". download the free app. and test ur ports
