Finished it... The problems that already exist with demo loading are still present so don't complain about it.

 

*UPDATE* changed it to use the built in FS_ commands as well as a fix for if the game just decides not to record (readonly demos folder)

*UPDATE 2* final release with the new bugfixes from NTA as well as a binary release for everyone who isn't able to compile.... and if they delete it then everyone is screwed.....

 

Info:

Uses a .meta file that stores metadata. Redirected the /record and /stoprecord commands so that it outputs a .meta file for the demos that are recorded from now on.

Now loads the demo even if it doesn't have metadata (it was only required for demofixes which are no longer needed)

thanks for posting this, was fun to see it actually work. hopefully you can get pigophone's advice on coding and some other people's here on the ui. if you want some inspiration on things to include i really like the tf2 theater mode or 'replay' as they call it

One of these Buttons could be "Export". Then you could export them in .avi or .mp4 or something...

would be more than a little cumbersome to include a renderer where there was none previously, i recommend dxtory

 

And here is the raw.iwd i use (you have to put it in the m2demo folder). it might be modified, but it works (for me)

that sir, is completely wrong, though it might work, you will get errors. Extract the raw.iwd and make a folder with the contents named raw in your game folder.

Sry if my scentence was not clear, i meant that i will not check every day, if you made a change to the theatermenu source files to update them in my iw4m.dll, i only check the svn. I never ment that your files are outdated!

So I donwloaded momo5502's dll which should include theatre menu according to him, and I still have the other 2 files in my /raw folder.

It works! If you don't have the theater menu, the try to pack everything into a .iwd file and place it into the m2demo folder! (Or download mine )

Could you make a Tutorial Please This is Starting to annoy me

no because I'm not updating this anymore as it doesn't really work and wont until NTA fixes demo playback.

EDIT: had to rename the demofixes with (mapname_mp_) had different demofixes i think.

What about a "Rename" button, so you can rename the demo files in-game would be awesome

i think the map preview should be slightly smaller and the text aswell making it have the same look as the private match menu. also why wont demos that are renamed show up? that kind off annoys me right now.

also to those who have the dll and the other files put the raw.iwd in m2demos it fixed my issue of the "theater" menu not showing up when you press the button
