FaceHunter":v8j38lse]i remember you said something about jeremych (dunno who it was actually) using the server as foot-warmer back in the AIW days.

Yup, not me, but convery.

I never buy hardware :(

no you never buy it, you just construct it.

that was bad I know, don't worry I know the exit.

You still have to buy the actual parts to construct it though..

I don't.

I'm a laptop guy.

Well, my father doesn't want heaters in the house because of electricity consumption, so... in the winter, I just turn on the 5 computers around me :P

And believe me, it makes a hell of a temperature difference to the rest of the house.

You can't consume electrons, you consume energy, Yes, there is a difference.

You can't consume energy.

Fundamental physics stating that energy can't be made or destroyed prevents your claim.

You can transform energy into other forms of energy though, in this case, heat.

But then again, you can't transform electrons into something else, you can transform the form of energy. Since you're using the energy to, for example, making your computer run, you're transferring the energy into heat which you can't reuse easily and thus you're "consuming" energy.

I do agree with you, though, "consuming energy" isn't correct, but saying "transforming the energy into another form of energy" would just really be too long to use in daily conversations.

False, it can be changed to mass when put under extreme compression.

How is this relevant to losing and creating energy? As far as I know the energy isn't being lost.

The fact that he said that energy can only cycle between other forms of energy, which is wrong.

Which makes me wonder, if you would compress a huge amount of energy (enough to make it visible for the naked eye), what would it look like?

I don't know, more so because the pressure needed would be impossible, since

E = MC^2 and therefore

M = E/C^2

Speed of light is 299 792 458

so that will be M = E/299792458

Expanding the equation, we will need 299792458 atm of pressure over whatever energy to compress it and create mass. Its next to impossible to make that kinda pressure.

what the fuck are you even talking about

If you fire an electron and an anti-electron type neutrino together, you can end up with a neutron + a proton. (ref - http://www.online-utility.org/image/Ima ... tistic.svg)

Mass is not the same as pressure, so, indeed, what the fuck are you talking about.

Don't tell me you don't know how to express an equation ._.

Okay, let me explain this to you in a EASY way.

We first have E=MC^2, which as you know, is Einstein's theory of mass-energy equivalence. Here,

E = Energy

M = Mass

and C = Speed of light.

As in this equation, We speed up a certain mass to the speed of C^2 to receive the proportional energy.

Now, we take the equation and solve for the value of "M"

Transposing the values -

M = E/C^2

As in this equation, We will compress the energy together to form mass. How do we compress anything? By using pressure of course!

The universal value of C is 299792458.

hence, we will need to add 299792458 pressure over the energy to get the mass, and pressure is calculated in atm (atmosphere), so, yes, my equation and its expression are perfectly valid.

Also, I never said or implied that mass is the same as pressure, that's a wrong idea from your side.

Опубликовано:
Actually, I was not, but either way, I didn't know that energy can be squished to mass that easily, I will read on further on that :>

I might have confused myself too, iirc cloud chambers are for alpha and beta particles; I have to read up on cloud chambers too :/

(it's been 5 months since I was tested on this :(, but it's definitely not impossible to create mass from energy)
