After you get the said error, locate your m2demo folder by pressing the windows key + r and then type in

 

%localappdata%

 

Then locate your IW4M folder>m2demo

 

OR

 

In your game folder you will see the m2demo folder.

 

Then, upload your console_mp.log

Have you closed Internet Download Manager before playing?

IDM is causing the crash,

It has happen to me on several occasions,

As i said earlier close IDM before running the game..

After reinstall, follow step #31 here -> viewtopic.php?f=7&t=4144 to make the game launch from the new installation.

Also, keep a backup of iw_22.iwd, iw_23.iwd and dlc folder (you'll need to add those to the new game installation).

You can also follow #51 on the common fixes thread to see if you got some files damaged or missing. Although those issues are most commonly caused by files that shouldn't be on your game's folder.
