I've seen other players on Xbox or PS3 having a clan tag feature like the one on MW3. I was wondering if 4D1 support that for the PC? I know it's probably not supported for PC at all. I guess there is a way to get one with Cheat Engine or something? :roll:

MAGIC has made a DLL where you can change your name completely. In your iw4m.ini on the third line of it (after your username and password) you can use the name you desire, for example I might use

IVIodern
password
|WZ|IVIodern

I would use |WZ| because I'm an admin at WarZone Gaming

So this lets you use a separate name for the forums and a separate one for the actual game? That doesn't really answer my question. What I need is a way to edit the actual clan tag. The clan tag that has nothing to do with the nickname. 14r3L.jpg Something like this.

That actually works perfect for me. When the updater overwrites it just overwrite it yourself again. Still waiting for a response about the actual clan tags though.

my problem is that you, as a staff member, are distributing files that breaks other functions of the dll such as the votekick/voteban command. the auth.cpp you are using is basically a name-change-hack.

As the first post has clearly said, the only way to set your clan tag is through the User Control Panel, commonly referred to as the UCP.

 

The specific page below allows you to change your name, bear in mind you WILL have to login again with your new name:

ucp.php?i=ucp_profile&mode=reg_details

 

Nobody will use these dll's if iw4m will have clantag feature..

 

Do note with the next update, such .dll's will cease to function, and as such it doesn't really bring much of a point. Also, the UCP already allows you to change your name, rendering such function useless.
