PS2 is worth the 50$ but as avail sad there is an emulator for PC with which you can easily play PS2 games on PC.

Fully recommend Tekken Tag, I put countless hours into that game when it first came out since it was the only game I owned for the PS2 for some time.

Also any of the TimeSplitter games, man do I miss them.

Forget about the first person shooters. Buying a console just for fps and fighting games is kinda useless. I'd recommend you games from other genres too.

Hmm a good FPS I played in the Ps2 was Socom: Navy Seals. that brings back so many memories.

>fps

not sure if you are trolling or just blind

Good fighting games:

Dragonball Z Budokai 3, (or maybe the Tenkaichi series)

Tekken Tag Tournament

Never played Dragonball. But Tekken Tag Tournament and Tekken 5 were pretty good.

If you want any awesome exclusives for it, go get Ratchet and Clank 2 or 3, Jak 3, Kingdom Hearts 2 (no, buy ALL of the games in those franchises), who doesn't like adventure games? And some other great games, like TimeSplitters 2, Tony Hawks Pro Skater 4, Gran Turisimo 4, Burnout 3, Need for Speed Most Wanted, Killzone 2, CoD: BRO. Also, if it's the fat PS2, just buy it. And get a network module for it if you can find one :> And if you live in the US, go get the HDD format disc, put an IDE HDD in it, and play FFXI!

TimeSplitters 1 and 2. Even though i don't really like fps on consoles, i'd call TimeSplitter 2 the best fps on PS2 (even better than Black and Killzone). The Tony Hawk series is also quite nice on consololololes IMO.

For Jump and Runs: crash bandicoot of course. The mario kart clone 'crash tag team racing' is decent too.

I own a ps2 and have played a lot of games on that and I give you this piece of advice , don't go after the fps. There are a lot more genres of games , specially on the ps2.

Go for gow 1 andf 2 , go for shadow of colossus ( on of the best games ever made in my opinion ) , budokai 3 is fun . Don't go for a ps2 for shooters though you will be disappointed. If it is a ps2 model before 2008 get it, if it is after don't . The difference is in the first you can put freemcboot and mod the hell out of it in the second you will have a lot more trouble.

Just sayin' HalfLife,GTA;SA,NFSMW,MarcEckos Getting Up Contents Under Pressure and THUG, that are the best games for PS2:

And the best games for PSX are ResidentEvil1 FF7 GTA2 TonyHawksSkateboarding and C12 Final Resistance.

I still got my PSX and my PS2,my brother also got a NES and a Sega MegasDrive, all

our consoles are 100percently functional.

And we got many gammes for them,my brother collected them.
