I read the tutorial by DidUknowiPwn (viewtopic.php?f=30&t=11583#) and i am following it. Atm i am downloading the game files, but i wanted to clear a doubt. I want my server to be Team Deathmatch & Domination and on ALL maps. I understand this is done like this:

*,TDM_default,1
*,DOM_default,1

But WHERE should i write that, i mean, in which part of which file?

Thanks in advance, xX60NXx

Also it states it.

Where?

EDIT: Saw it in the tutorial.

If you scroll to the bottom, you will see a few lines that look like this:

Yes where else would it go?

Im sorry  i am very unsure about this and wanted to make sure.

Other doubts: will i be able to find my server in the server list? And, if my PCs IP is 201.235.171.242 , the server's address will be that too? (Sorry for retarded questions )

It depends upon your Router/modem.

You can use "connect YourInternalIP" on the console.

What will that do, show the server's IP?

And will i be able to see my server in the server list?

I am really sorry for asking this, which might be very easy but i have completely no idea and want to make things the right way.

I have a Wireless-G Linksys router and a SB5101 Motorola modem. Does this information help you?

You need to forward the game port and the query port, to start.

Then, make sure that your router's DHCP server is giving IPs on 192.168.x.x range (cmd, ipconfig, see IPv4 address)

If you can't see your server on the list, maybe your router can't process a query on it's own IP. In that case, use connect command to get on your server.

connect [iP]:[game port]

example:

connect 192.168.1.1:27015

It's 192.168.1.3, so ok. image.jpg

I still dont know if i can see it or not because i dont have the game and the server on the same PC, and the server didnt even finish downloading. But the default is that i will be able to see it?

And from my other PC i just type in the console connect 192.168.1.3:27015 or connect 201.235.171.242:27015?

Thank you very much, everything should be working now when the download finishes. Anyway, the other PC isn't on the same LAN network so i'll have to connect to 201.235.171.242:27015 instead of 192.168.1.3:27015.

Idk what the hell happened, I installed .NET Framework 3.0,3.5 and 4.0 and now my PC doesnt boot ok, I have to run it in Safe Mode. I give up on XP, gonna try on Windows 7. Question is: can I use the same files for the server AND the game itself?

Thanks. You can lock this if you wish.
