We recently had 4d1 but had no luck in anyone helping to get our server to show up in the list so we went to teknogods . But boy oh boy can you say hackerville up in there . I could barley play due to all the hackers joining. But the thing is our server showed up in the list , we had it fill up within minutes of having it up . So i know all the ports are open and working fine . Im just wondering why is our server not showing up in the 4d1 list?

 

I re installed and put all the files needed in the folder that i got from this topic and here viewtopic.php?f=3&t=18889 .... so there would be no tekno files and what not . I ran the dsut and did all that happy stuff . so going to try this again before i have to go back to tekno... Any one here that can help?

So, forward 27000-28959 on 192.168.1.102 also.

or you could find out your exact internal IP by typing "ipconfig" im command prompt.

i have the same problem with him...i cant see my server in list...and my friends cant see it too...

all ports are ok...(checked with PFPortChecker) the time is sync... and all the files are from here...

Yes, as long as you tell them the IP/port.

i can connect to my server with the IP:27015.... and when they try to connect this way...they get an unable to connect to host...

What IP do you give them ? Intenal/external ?

they try both of them...

Thanks but we know the ip . longer process but we right click the internet icon then click Network and Sharing Center , then the connections then details in there is the list of all info we need and it is 101. 102 is just for a clan member who is on the same server side as the server and it allows him to see games in list.

IF you host the server off your pc or a server box and your on the same internet as the server , one you will see the server no matter what if its up and running because your on the same network as it , 2 if you the person hosting the server goes to LAN you will see your server and yes you can connect or try to connect to server through connect IP:Port... But #3 is no one will be able to see your server because something is wrong. I know this because my clan mate hosting the servers can see them in the list , or in list of LAN servers but none of us can connect so this tells me somewhere a port is messed or cfg, file with ports is messed up .

This is just like a said above , if your on LAN line of same hosting computer or it is the computer you are hosting server you will be able to connect but no one else will because its LAN lol

 

Ok back to my problem ...

 

We just launched up teknogods server so forth and had full server last night, i still want to get 4d1 running but if its going to be this much of a hassle then i might as well not get frustrated over it and just go back to hacker central .... at least there we can see our server in the list. So doesnt teknogods use same ports? if so why is 4d1 not work? i mean it dont matter if its 4d1 or tekno because the mw3 ports are same to a extent. this is why i dont understand why your servers don't see our server but tekno does

I re installed , had someone with networking and port knowledge and they didnt know why 4d1 cant see our servers but tekno can . we have 2 different game directories for tekno and 4d1 so i know none of the files are interacting with the other because ones on c drive ones on d drive.

Same here ports are open...no antivirus,nofirewall no nothing... and still.....

well im going to go play on our server on tekno for bit , ill check in here after to see if anyone else has some good ideas for us to try

People like that can't just say "I'll fix everything", or everyone will spam the hell out of them about their problems. People like that usually preffer selecting people with problems and contact them through PM
