One mod try to join with 1280x1024 (like me) with this dat chat and just tell me if its sucks or not ..

Why this change? before was much better !

I like to respect all opinions, but it is clear that in general everyone prefers text size as it was before, or at least the possibility of being able to configure without harming anyone. I hope NTA think about this problem and at least give us that possibility. Thanks for your work. ;)

In theory couldn't you just memory edit those 2 bytes to a lower value in hex? or would that not work?

That would only fix it for higher resolutions. Normal resolutions will still have that huge font.

how would we do it for high resolution screens ?

No I am afraid aCI will detect this as a cheat and ban you. Using CheatEngine you can change the value from 235 to something lower...

You could change it but... I am not sure about the behavior of aCI tho...

Also lol at you thinking decreasing 0xEB would change anything. That would probably make the game crash as 0xEB is a command, namely 'jmp'.

 

Best solution would be addding a dvar like cg_chatFontSize.
