The size since i've updated to this most recent client is huge.

I play in 1920x1080 and its size is about the same as if i were to play in 1280x720

 

Any fix?

Thanks Joey, but it still doesn't work for me.

Might have something to do with new menus causing it to think the screen is the wrong size.

I meant that would disable the chat if it's that annoying.

It might be better to view the image in its full. I also see its hard to tell the difference from here, but in game, it really is at least 3-5 times larger than before the update.

Yeah, if you compare our screenshots, we have the same text size and the same issue. It might have something to do with our resolution and its assigned font sizes. Just a guess.

Yeah im playing on 2560x1440 and chat is taking half my 27" screen.

 

I mean our neighbors in the next building can read it.

I am playing on 1920x1080 and the font size is like from 800x600, covers half of screen.

mine is the same as Zyzz...

Its not a bug. its a feature from yours truly

Then it's not a bug, the chat was too small on the high resolutions, now is size the same on all resolutions.

To be honest it should be configurable via console, as cg_chatheight only limits how many lines of chat is shown.

Sorry, but with 1280x1024 and big chat is unplayable, earnest. Maybe for full hd is ok, but for 1280x1024 resolution, is certainly to big this chat.

How to come back with old size chat? There's a cfg comand or something like that?

Now will people finally understand how annoying those B3 messages are, it was pain for all those with non-HD resolution.

Then perhaps a smaller font size for the people with lower resolutions would be an appreciated solution.

 

I hope you'll be restoring the original font settings, or at least give us the ability to customize it.

 

Additionally I have a screenshot showing the differences are actually a lot greater than with your resolution.
