в–єHow do I get those Nuketown files?в—„

You need a torrent-client, such as uTorrent or Bittorrent. After you installed one of these, you can now proceed:

Start the game, go to the main-menu: You'll see an option saying "Store" - Please click on it. You will be forwarded to an external link (your browser will pop up) and your torrent-client will download all necessary files.

NO, we will NOT upload those files for you somewhere else. Users sending PMs or creating threads for it will be punished with warnings and/or bans.

 

в–єWhat do I have to do with my my Nuketown files?в—„

You will find 2 folders ("main" & "zone") and a nuketown.iw4dlc-file in your download. Double click the .iw4dlc file and it will automatically install the files. Once it is done you are ready to play!

 

в–єOn every/some servers I get the no-ammo bug!в—„

That's not an client-side fault, it's caused by outdated dedicated-servers. Server owners are supposed to update their servers, so exactly those "bugs" won't occur anymore.

Just wait a few days till your favourite server(s) is/are updated (If you can, please contact the server-owner to remind him).

 

в–єI get chased by flying weapons?!в—„

Re-update your game. (your team_**.ff files are outdated). Delete caches.xml and run the game.

 

в–єWhere do I find this map ingame? It's not in my maplist in private match!в—„

Go to our serverlist and filter for "MAP" - Then just basically search for "Nuketown", there will be plenty of servers.

 

в–єBut if I want to play it in private?в—„

Type "map mp_nuked" in your console.

 

в–єMy FPS is super low after installing Nuketown!в—„

Create a shortcut to LaunchIW4M.exe, right click it and select "Properties". At the the end of the "Target", add -d3d9 and your FPS should be as good as always.

    for those of us running SSDs for a c drive that want to keep appdata as small as possible you can just drag and drop the content into corresponding folders with no problem.

    my profile drive is on flash storage but 120mb of data doesn't matter a thing there

    Well, each time i re-update it always happen to me after a few rounds, maps

    If you have any of the team_*.ff files in your gamefolder, delete those too, also, deleting them from the localappdata/IW4M/zone/ them deleting caches.xml, should work. It did it for me, remember, don't have them in your gamefolder.

    the storage doesn't matter to me either, but the reads do. as a poor man i need to keep my 5k iops ssd for 20 years to get bang for buck so directing reads to a separate cheapo drive is important when loading anything. also i just want to keep all my maps in one place

    did exactly as it says but whenever i load map game crashes. checked in zone and main nuketown files are there, installed via like n it said successfully installed. can anyone help?

    Yep, it was ported over from China's a popular FPS series.

    Uh, deleted any files regarding nuketown from your gamefolder and your IW4M folder, too ? Remember to re-install the dlc afterwards.
