Pc specs:

so: windows 8

cpu: phenom x4

ram: 3gb

gpu: amd 5770

res: 1360x768

no vertical sync

 

Feel free to test and post your fps results of two these positions.

Good fps

Bad fps

If your graphic card was broken, I doubt you'd run the game with max graphics with +50 FPS.

Max with fullbright, 1000

Stable 125/250/333

Worst 120 ( Some crap nuke bullet isnipe mod server )

Turn off AA if your FPS is bad?

Anyways on my laptop:

40-90

90-200 FPS (with FPS booster or r_fullbright)

5-20 FPS in smoke

PC

Intel Core i7- 3770k

8 GB DDR3

AMD Radeon 6950 OC

1440x900

 

Pos 1 - 192fps

Pos 2 - 122fps

If your graphics card was 'broken', you'd get shitload of texture errors and crashes, not lower FPS.

Your graphics card is not broken if your playing above 10fps.

 

Also, while using com_maxfps 0 at max settings...

Pos 1: 372 FPS

Pos 2: 198 FPS

Oh and by the way, here are my specs and FPS :

AMD Athlon II X2 250 (3GHZ) (might upgrade it soon).

The game is maxed out. Pretty much the same FPS.

NOTE : I had 90FPS on the first screen, I dropped while taking the shoot.

@720p, I get anywhere from about 300 to 800 fps, depending on the map and location. I get 950 in one building on Sub Base. But my card is in a different league

Two questions i have to ask!

Is your video card driver up to date?

 

Does your motherboard have a pci express 1.0 or 2.0 slot on it?

 

 

if your motherboard has a 1.0 slot on it that could be a reason for low fps

Or you could simply change from Windows 8 to 7 actually, because XP is very good, but'll bring backward compatibility problems soon (direct X11 etc..).
