I have a problem, i must do the -d3d9 thing and limit my FPS to 60, if I not do this things, I get fps frops. My internet and computer is good, dont even bother telling me that I must buy new stuffs, I can run BO2 maxxed 1080p with 100+FPS.

Why do i even need to do that -d3d9 thing and limit my FPS to 60? I dont understand, if my PC can run other games like BO2, and BF3, why shouldn't it run MW2? Has it to do with 4D1? Can someone help me?

You can see more than 60FPS if you have 120hz or 144hz, so I want more than 60FPS (I have 144hz).

Can someone help me why it is lagging if i have more than 60FPS + why I need to have that -d3d9 parameter thingy even if I have a beast computer?

Check your GPU temperatures I suppose, if it's not with -d3d9 or vsync or such.

More FPS your GPU renders the more work it does.

Please explain this better, and no, its not overheating, it must be related to 4D1 because I get 100+ FPS on BO2, maxed 1080p

As in if you have vsync disabled and -d3d9 in your launch parameters, and it's still laggy.

I get fps drops and freeze for like 0.5 seconds, its so annoying. Happens like every 5-7 seconds.

Nah not totally true.

The eye does indeed does not see more then 30 fps.

But the problem with game is: it isn't a movie.

So you have to look to frametimes. How long is the time of one frame: 60fps = 16.67 frames per milliseconds.

The problem with game engines is that they cant offer you a steady framerate time. Some frames are harder to calcalute then an another...

So if you have 60 fps but ur PC calculates 59 frame @ 10 ms and then one frame @ 410ms = Then you have 60fps but you will experience lag.

U clearly see that the nVidia card (green) has major lag spikes. But it has 101 fps...

This is one example somethimes nVidia is better, sometimes AMD it is depandant on the engine of the game.

@TS: Drive sweeper and reinstal the driver. Or try to measure the frame times, I tought you can do it with Fraps...

The USAF, in testing their pilots for visual response time, used a simple test to see if the pilots could distinguish small changes in light. In their experiment a picture of an aircraft was flashed on a screen in a dark room at 1/220th of a second. Pilots were consistently able to "see" the afterimage as well as identify the aircraft. This simple and specific situation not only proves the ability to percieve 1 image within 1/220 of a second, but the ability to interpret higher FPS.
