It's bad; but oh well. There's nothing anyone can do about it. Every user will complain about it at the beginning, get used to it, then be mad when a new layout comes out saying "GO BACK TO THE OLD LAYOUT YOU FUCKING CUNTS". Wash, rinse, repeat.

actually, it seems that customization by channel owners is possible to a larger scale than the previous one.

To be honest, looks better then the current layout, but still nowhere near what it used to be.

I actually like the top part design. However, the lack of a proper background makes me wonder if the change is worth it. Below the featured video the thing looks terrible too.

No actually if you guys herd it lol steven said he new nothing about this at all he didnt kno randy was jokingly saying it. the way the interviewer was saying it he acted as if randy cotore was serious so steven gave a serious answer cause he had never seen the video of randy coture laughing or saying it was a joke all he was hearing was he wanted to fight him so i dont blame him

I actually like how it fits in with the site, however, I feel that this basically removes a lot of customization options for normal users - the banner seems to be partner only, so will all normal users look the same?

The Banner is for everyone. You don't need to be a partner for this.

In the past 9 months how many times have YouTube 'updated' the design? Must be 3 or 4, so I wouldn't say you are even close with the 9 months you say.

There is probably something in what you say. My friend told me that beta testers will receive updates in terms of design. And I'm probably a few of the thousands who is a beta tester. I do not know exactly how long I've seen the design. But it's long.

 

I want to note the thing my friend told me; Beta testers can vote on which design they think looks best after a while Youtube go through all the proposals and select the design that got the most votes.

 

And since now most people here have noticed it. It Is that design who is the winner I guess. As I said do not know how long I have seen it every time I open my browser, but I can say that it is very long.

And also, I have seen several design changes lately. Is there really no one else who has noticed it?
