i've been informed by two server admins that dlc map "black box" causes some huge lag and it's out of rotation.

 

i thought maybe people have weak pc's or something like that, but i found one portugese server with that map and i saw they were telling the truth. map lag starts right after the loading screen. you can't choose classes, because everything gets stucked. it took me some time to quit the map also.

 

so my question is why's that happeing and how to fix that?

I haven't heard about any solution for it as of now, so I would simply remove the map from the rotation.

Restarting the dedicated server might help...If you want to play it that bad.

According to him its an issue with the official servers too, so its not just us.

I'm not sure, but it sounds like the problem is the size of that map, not something in the code.

I thought that certain gaming conglomerate has disbanded the support for a certain game we're talking about...

 

Anyways, in my local server there was once mp_morningwood and it actually lags a lot, but after the owner "cleaned" it a bit it's accessible, but again only to a small amount of people (who have powerful computers I think) and so does other people (who gets medium to high ping)
