I had MW2 and got rageubanned by steam for the first release of promod. Although the attempt to make this a legitimate endeavor is admirable, i think the end result will be mediocre at best. Steam has a way of shitting on everyone's parade, kind of the same way IWnet does. Regardless, i salute you sir's.

Didn't buy it due to lack of dedis/no modding.

I was at the midnight release for it and all I got was this lousy T-Shirt (and MW2)

i bought it the week it was released. Hell, it was fun...till the hackers came -.-

 

When aIW was officialy closed (2 weeks ago) i tried to play on steam...only to notice, that not a single person is displayed as online. After 5 min i found a lobby with 500+ ping so i closed the game.

 

Then i read: No, IW4M will check with the Steam client for the game being legitimately purchased.

and i was like: fuck yea!

Here's an idea. Go to McDonalds two times less this month and then you can afford the $20 that MW2 costs on Steam.

No, legit MW2 is owning it on Steam. Although no specifics have been released, I can only assume they're going to tap into the Steam API and verify if the player owns MW2, not if they have the files...

Well in france, its also supposed to work this way but sellers are real douchebags, they would do anything to keep their clients so if you're enough annoying with them, it'll work.

 

If it can't work in your country the try plan B :

What games? The only games I know that are not supporting XP are games based on Frostbite 2.0 engine (BF3 and NFS: The Run)...

 

I will of course migrate to newer version of Windows in the future, but for now changing OS for less than 5 games is a stupidity, isn't it?
