Yesterday I noticed some of you were quite dissapointed that the matchup didn't happen, and I must say I was looking forward to it as well. So my proposal is to do this anyway somwhere next week, without the added pressure of being on a livestream, and just record it. I would like to know what you think of this idea, I would really enjoy seeing this happen afterall.

To be honest, I didn't really care. What we needed was something to draw users interest at the launch event. And it revealed that having the users itself on the stream was much more appealing to them than seeing us playing. It was nice to see everyone trying to enter and saying "I'm on the live stream!!!".

Maybe we should repeat some of those events from time to time to keep the community active

Question or rather questions: who would record the match/matches, would we have anyone commentating over them and since you said we would record(obv.) would we put it up onto the 4D1 youtube channel ?

Well, not so much record directly, but theater mode. The commentator will record this demo with his commentary and then it will be uploaded to youtube.

I'll still be available to commentate if we happen to record in real time. I live in New York City so I run on EST (CEST minus 6). I'll actually be out with my gf Saturday afternoon getting back in the early evening (we're just grabbing lunch), so I should be available by around 9PM CEST (3PM EST). Blarg. Timezone mindfuck...

 

Anyway, overall Sunday would be a better day for me but if the matchup wont happen until the above times on Saturday, then I'm on for a live comm.

Well part of the nice thing about commentary is that it's live and reactionary. I'd basically have to pretend like Im surprised and that Im commentating live if I were sent a demo/theater film. I could spectate the match live and record.

Watching a theater demo for the first time is exactly the same as spectating it live, but without the lag since you are a few thousand miles away
