I recently posted this same thread but no one has responded. I'm currently having a problem that started out of the blue today.. Please tell me how can I fix and get rid of this problem.

Well, sometimes I look at some topic and I just tell myself "oh no, not this issue again... I'll answer later". And sometimes I end up forgetting to answer those topics

Well, usually, when that error message pops up, either the user is trying to connect behind a proxy, or has the connection shared, or has the connection set as bridged.

Although I'm not too experienced with that particular error, I think that any of those situations mentioned above can trigger an error message like that.

Eh, I'm not sure what that means so do you think there's any way to help me with my situation?

In the view topic viewtopic.php?f=7&t=4144 , number 32. This is a problem with the NP server. Its on our side. You will have to wait it out. Is this the actual solution to my problem or will I have to reinstall iw4m or something.

Well, IW4M works for me. Steam must be running is one of the toughest issues. Reinstall wouldn't be bad...

Who is your ISP and are you behind a proxy?

Also any firewalls thats blocking iw4m.dat from accessing the internet?

I am new at this, I really wanted to play MW2 so I kinda downloaded 3-4 different MW2 clients, I finally got one to work (modern warfare 2 multiplayer, something like that), did all that update-cmd-main folder-root folder-copy files-thing and last night it STARTED! But right now, I tried to log in and that console thing won't load any more data, it just writes on my screen 3 rows and then "not responding". So I was hoping that you can help me solve this problem and guide me through the installation once more (if necessary, just few basic steps), thanks!

Yeah, same problem as @horus90 .. Just downloaded FDO client, updated, did everything as the FDO tutorial said, and when i tried to launch it, three rows shw up as in horu's pic, then goes to not responding. Im guessing the servers are down or what? Any help would be appreciated!

The Servers are down its the same like yesterday, just wait a few hours then it should be working again.
