haha of course not activision got more than half of its community indirectly from the "advertisment" youtubers did with their vids.... they are not THAT stupid

But isn't 4D1 videos advertisement too? People have to buy a legitimate copy of the game to play. Although surtain DLLs are out there to bypass some things. It's still what 4D1 aimed for.

Activision is the dirty asscrack of the gaming industry. They pick fights with people like NTA and the Alter/4D1 community out of sheer greed and paranoia. I think they either get a false sense of vigilantism or sick pleasure out of going after people who are simply trying to fix their games.

 

If you ask me, I think they're afraid that if the Alter/4D1 community were to show people just how much better CoD on the PC COULD be, they know that people will stop buying the game, now that they know how little care/time Activision puts into PC CoD games. They DO face lost profit, but only because of their sloth, laziness, and lack of care. Not because Alter/4D1 encourages PIRACY, but because it encourages a re-imagining and a re-thinking of the way in which CoD on the PC is played from the inside out. That's what these corporate bastards are afraid of: progress, my friends.
