Designed to keep your server online 24/7, this program restarts your server if it crashes, encounters any errors or has exited to lobby.

This is made by dot, I do not claim any ownership.

Link - https://minus.com/m95w0zdyj/

Virustotal - http://r.mufff.in/y

  • checks if the server has encountered any errors
  • checks if the server has exited to lobby
  • checks if the server is responding
  • closes ALL dialog boxes (safe mode?, reset system config?, etc.)
  • All events are logged
  • Dedicated checking thread for each server instance
  • Support for arbitrary amount of servers
  • Logs all winapi errors with a corresponding getlasterror() code
  • Shuts down all servers upon exit
  • Full Unicode support

Installation Instructions:

Extract the contents of the zip file to your server folder. After you have done that, modify the ini file accordingly.

Keys and Sections:

please note the following:

  • Each server has its own section, starting from 0
  • If you have 1 server, just configure section 0, and that's it
  • If you have multiple servers, set up individual section for each server. For example:
    [0]
    ...keys for server 0
    [1]
    ...keys for server 1

  • For server sections, you may not skip a number. Doing so will result in all subsequent server(s) ignored
  • If a key does not exist, its value will be taken from the [default] section. This can be useful for certain keys that are the same for most servers
  • The "name" must be unique for each server and cannot be set in the default section

For IW4M,

sv_running pointer=28145972

For example, I use the following config for my FFA server:

[0]
name=ffa
executable=iw4m.exe -dedicated -console +set net_port 28988 +exec ffa.cfg +map mp_terminal +map_rotate +set party_maxplayers 18 +map_restart
sv_running attempts=15
sv_running interval=10000
responding attempts=15
responding interval=5000
sv_running pointer=28145972

Didn't try it. I used to look for programs that would keep my server running back in the aIW days. Ended up finding this batch file. Place the batch file in the same directory as the iw4m.exe, then create a shortcut to desktop if you choose.

@echo off
cls
echo Autorestartare Server MW2 and protection for forced closure or crash ...
echo If you want to close the server closes the first window (the X)after that server console server
title iw4.com Watchdog
:iw4
echo (%date%)  -  (%time%) MW2 Server Start.
start /wait iw4m.exe +set party_maxplayers 14 +set net_port "28965" +exec server.cfg +map_rotate -dedicated -console
echo (%date%) - (%time%) WARNING: MW2 Server closed or dropped... server restarts.
goto iw4

goto iw4

This wouldn't work, as sometimes the server can close without it crashing.

Hi all.

When I run Dedi Watcher v1.7.3 without the parameter "-console" does not recognize that the server is running and reboots constantly. Any fix?

The server has the latest update and dedi config is like this:

[0]

name=war

executable=iw4m.exe -dedicated +set net_port 28988 +set party_maxplayers 18 +exec war.cfg +map mp_rust +map_rotate

sv_running attempts=15

sv_running interval=10000

responding attempts=15

responding interval=5000

sv_running pointer=28145972

if i put the parameter "-console", dedi watcher run fine, but B3 causes lag to server. Can anyone help me?

Thx. ;)

Hmm, I wish I could supply the answer...

I don't like this version of Dediwatcher

Try googling for a different version ):

I wish I could find the person that made it

This version was patched by NTAuthority, the maker, dot, is active on IRC though..

Contact them both, I suppose.

[15] <&dot> i made a new one with case insensitive string compare

[15] <&dot> should make setting up dedi watcher less painful

It is broken as of the new 4D1 update! It keeps saying how the server is not responding.
