Fail... a single well aimed shot with any modern military rifle will still kill, body armor or not.

In hardcore, every weapon is damn the same. It takes absolutely no skill to kill the enemy there.

Conjecture and opinion. The old "every weapon is damn the same" argument. Skill is required to stay alive long enough to kill the enemy. If you use a toe to toe or run and gun style you end up with high deaths. If you are inaccurate the enemy will take you out rapidly.

I regularly acheive a KDR of 2 or 3 to 1, occasionally over 10 to 1 so I would call myself reasonably skilled.

I may not be as accurate or fast as some but those who have played in our server will know that I make up for that with stealth and cunning. Yes I am a camper, I don't hide the fact hence the name.

Our server is called Camper Crew HC, anyone who joins not expecting a few campers is deluded.

 

The debate on HC versus non HC will continue as will the debates on play style, game modes etc.

There is no right answer, only opinion. When people realize and accept this maybe the arguments will subside.

Try it that way and see how long you survive. Enemies with any degree of intelligence will come back and hunt you down. The skill is knowing when and where to move. And where the enemy is likely to come from as they hunt you. Where to put traps and out thinking their offense. All the while providing your team with overwatch. The enemy end up having to team up (hmmm Team Death Match) to get me away from my area. (Note I camp an area not a single spot.)

Apparently the tendency to overestimate yourself also comes with age..

 

Ask yourself this: If you are so wise, then why are you making so much of an effort to win an argument with a 16yo?

Why HC?

 

I tell you why in my humble opinion.

Aside from the game trying to be or not be realistic in HC learn to play well or you're dead. And I'm not talking specifically on those small maps TDM mode in which it is a party to kill personnel (in TDM i still prefer the Default mode). I speak in a S&D for example that requires the player to be alert, to use the perks wisely and have precision aiming, or will be detected and will be killed. Play well or you will die. Simple as that.

 

In HC you can not go to the jumps and run around the map as if they owned the world and not be killed (another example).

 

Speaking of realism many speak of "1 vs 2 or more shot." I say 1 shot in the foot does not kill (but kills himself fade into blood). So why 3 or more shots are needed to kill someone in torso? Headshot the same ... They will tell me that this time the guy was wearing two kevlar suits and a helmet anti missile. Plz...!

 

I think we should look at a player as a whole (except the head). Those are two parts that differ. Be in the foot or hand is like a shot in the heart. Then we have the head.

In HC 1 shot kills, in Default mode are you will need several ... And that's what we have. Deal with this without comparisons to realism.

 

Fortunately or unfortunately they still have not separated the various body parts with different damage beeing in Default or HC.

 

Until then I prefer HC.

Yesterday I played a bit.

People were running around on open areas like pros (yeah, being sarcastic)

I was putting them 3 or 4 bullets just for them to turn around and like instantly killing me.

On the killcam I was seeing that due to my lowsy connection, I wasn't actually hitting with 3 or 4 bullets, but only some 2 and the getting killed not by 1 bullet, but by some 3.

Then there were those epic moments when I really put some 3 bullets to a guy wich was running away, but I had to go running after him around the corner to put him extra bullets (like an arcade points system to kill people).

So, yeah, I preffer HC. You see, you take aim, and you kill. Unlike having to run after your target to keep filling him with bullets to get a kill.

Almost forgot to mention that I was always running out of ammo.

"softcore" is just "arcade style points to kill" system.

Anyways, another advantage of HC is that you're not bothered with HUD, you're focused on visual sights, which might be a good thing.....

It's either theater recording bug which is showing a rather fast reaction and aim time than normal or he just has fast and accurate aim. whatever the reason it's not aimbot as he misses sometimes and doesn't get a lot of head shots like most aimboters or hackers i have played with.
