Whenever i try the LaunchIw5m i run as Admin, Got the demo files, blah blah blah.

Gets to 8% of downloading the files and i get this error.

 

 

If anyone has encountered this and found a fix, PLEASEEE tell me, like right nowww <3

I know what the error suggests.. It's just that There's nothing else open.. You know what i mean ?

But I'll try that i suppose.

Update; Just restarted my PC Twice, still the same error.

Move the game out of your program files folder, if it is in it.

 

In the error, it says it is in his program files folder, just brainstorming

Move it to Desktop or so as you don't have Full Permissions in Program Files.

Care to read other replies ? He probably doesn't have permissions as even restarting his PC didn't work.

For everyone getting this error:

 

 

Please do the following:

 

1) Create a new folder called 'back' or so in IW5 folder/zone/english

2) Drag every file which is in the /english folder to the 'back' folder you just created

3) Open the IW5 updater.

4) If everything goes right, it should add the new maps now.

5) IW5 is trying to open but crashes after a few seconds. Don't worry!

6) Drag every file of 'back' back to the original folder (IW5 folder/zone/english). If it asks to overwrite, just select no to all.

 

^ This done it for me.

Maybe this'll do the trick for you. I had the same error but it disappeared after one of the updates so I did not test this. Other people have reported this works though.

Next one reading this, just remove "Read-only" attribute from the game folder (and it's sub-folders)
