Uhm, nope?

KMS-activation is a legitimate method companies use to activate their computers.

The thing is: somebody managed to emulate such a server and published his work (I think it was some guy over at mydigitallife.info)

    nah, for win8 it's just someone activating a leaked host key on a VM where the hardware is always the same so you can just copy the activation token files :P

    Ugh, i didnt activated Win8 since its leaked. *using since 15th August* Both Retail and Volume keys, windows doesnt shutdown itself. Only showing some noob things. Volume keys adding bottom right corner *watermark* image, retail shows blue screen show activate your windows copy every time you wake up computer. Just 1 dll patch fixes this.

    Normally Im using PaintDesktopVersion=1 so didnt complain about text watermark.

    For personalization, there is some 'tricks' or 'tools' without activation... (one of them included in windows, remmember 1st setup screen)
