btw: where did you get that name for "your" project? Revolution because of what? you were mad at Activision? Now there isn't a reason, the steam checker was removed and MW2 is being updated by the original decoder of iw4mp and steam_api...

I wanna start out by saying that I am a huge fan of 4d1 and the previous project known as aIW. But the way we feel about aRev right now. Is how Infinity Ward and Activision feels about us modifying their game.

 

We might have done good things, for this game, but aRev probably have too. And fyi, i have no idea what features aRev has to offer that 4D1 doesn't or if there is a difference at all.

 

But the thing you feel inside right now. Hate, most likely. Is the exact same way the developers for the original mw2 feel when we steal/modify their game.

We improved the game. They have stolen the improved game and done nothing to it.

Also, both clients have clear reference to IW, and we aren't stealing their game. We added a function MISSING from the main game, dedicated servers.

 

However, I agree, we should be working together.

MW2 is allowed as we are not emulating their service, and we are adding something to the service.

The devs dont really care about mw2 at all, its all about the dlc's and elite to gain money. aRev has just copyed NTA's hardwork, also NTA didnt just take MW2, he improved it with Dedicated servers, Anti-Cheat, mod support and more.

But we bought the game and can do everything we want. They are happy with the money and we are enjoying the game. We are not stealing their game. But I have to agree with your post

But we bought the game and can do everything we want. They are happy with the money and we are enjoying the game. We are not stealing their game. But I have to agree with your post

There's a difference between the two; while 4D1 is modifying IW's game to give players a better experience. aRev is stealing the work of 4D1 without any kinds of modification except for the name.
