Hi guys, I've just made a background/splash replacement per IW4M/IW5M, what do you think?

How to:

(IW4M) Download the version you want: v1, v2, v3, extract it, and place logo.bmp and splash.bmp into the main folder (where you have iw4m), and the other files in main / iw_03 (open it with winrar) / images;

(IW5M) Download the version you want: v1, v2, v3, extract it, and place logo.bmp and splash.bmp into the main folder (where you have iw5m), and the other files in main / iw_00 (open it with winrar) / images;

 

Obviously you can use those images also as desktop wallpaper.

As I said, rename the Steam folder, run the Background changer again and select the IW5M folder.

Look if you have changed the background on the original game too..

but my game (call of duty modern warfare 3 ) is outside the steam folder its in D:/Gamez

can't you just copy a .iwi file and pack it into .iwd instead of forcing people to download tools?

I'm not forcing people. they can figure it out by themselves or also choose to not use it.

You can, if you have a IQ > 60 which should imho be a requirment like it was on aIW.

Point and click and reading only takes common sense, not some weird ass computer knowledge.

btw, problem solved, you can now download the files and just place it in the relative folder.

if someone can't understand that, well, who cares. he/she's going to die anyway, starving in front of the fridge, trying to figure out how to open it.

As I said, we're waiting for TNet to be fully functionable so that we match the theme with it. Also, a theme isn't 'just a template'.

I can't get an .iwd file to work when making it from scratch, however, all you have to do is take one of the .iwd's from the main folder, copy it to the desktop, and then delete all the files inside of it. Then you can add whatever you want and rename it to z_whatever and it works.

As add to archive by default would create a .rar compressed file and .iwds use .zip compression

this is not going to be official, so it's personal and I can choose to not change it anymore.

for me = I like it. for 4D1 = doing what the boss says.

I'm not going to make a wallpaper, phpBB style, or whateva for 4D1 if there's a hundred different mods/users that tell me what to do in their own way each one, I have to listen to NTA, or who he choose to.
