well there's at least the anims for the IW3's weapons in IW4 SP levels

It would be really cool if there was something like a 3D Menu screen background *cough* T6 *cough*.

Also I believe NTA or whoever will do the weapon balance will be better at that than IW.

In_Human if u made the ak74u its as simple as this. make a new thread in mods and name it [RELEASE] New Weapon: AK74u.

The G36C and the ACR are basically the same guns apart from different sounds and appereance - the accuary, firespeed and all that is close to identical.

If we're gonna add women to the game, we should also add kitchens then!

Erm they changed the engine and how it handles animations?

Erm IW made tools specifically for IW4 which no one has access to other than IW and Activision branches ofc.

Which then begs the question of how NTA actually got/is getting the MP40's animations (and model, for that matter) to work in the first place.

 

If I gather correctly- that is, once NTA is finished with this code, that the engine will be able to load some variant of IW3 animation/model files (or, if this is incorrect, what does it enable loading of, or does it do something completely different?)- what changes need to be made to those files (models/animations/sounds) so that they can be loaded (NTA mentioned some sort of cleanup in the first post)?

 

What programs make those changes? If "each has to be redone", how does, and what is used (outside of code), to make that happen?

IIRC bas said that they are compatible and the structs just need to be matched up. Unless he discovered an inconsistency.

If he finds a way to match cod4 xanim/xmodels we can literally port anything from iw3.

Not necessarily, he can't convert .d3dbsp files (collision).

Was thinking that too... Doesn't even look like IW4. (or IW5/IW4C for that matter)

Might be new favela/crash

 

Anyway, the ak47 texture is from chinese version. Original iw4's is a bit different

 

But yeah, the texture quality and models look really nice.

 

Wondering if it's a screenshot from iw4c or iw4m with modified textures
