By "weapon limit", do you mean the weapon limit in the whole multiplayer game (as I heard for the first time about that limit after an interview of one of IW5's dev when people were asking about weapon DLCs).

well, sort of.

 

note that in IW5's case it is irrelevant; an IW4 patch (the one for the 1887s) had increased it before in IW4, but in here all attachments count as separate weapons.

 

I had tried patching it before, but that method didn't work out; trying a more 'safe' method this time though.

It wasnt. It was cheap, it had a heavy recoil, poor accuracy and it overheated.
