What title says.. I record a demo, i record in servers without the *, i play the demo and i get this error.. why?

did you use stoprecord before the match ended?

yes i did! When i write in console \demo demo1 <== the name, the video plays and after a few seconds, it gives that error

when you record your demo, to open it use : demo demoname ; wait 5 ; demoback 1 (replace demoname by your own demo)

Hey, I'm just thinking... Is it possible that the demo *losts* connection to the host, if the server you are playing on, somehow starts to lag, it reloads a bit (without map_restart) and then continues smoothly?

If that could also be *the* problem?

'coz I remember that once when I got this error, the server lagged like hell.

Remenber to enter 'demoback' command in console after the demo loads.

as others have mentioned its probably a legacy server thing..
