Reinstalled the game 2 days ago and keep getting banned/tempabanned, or blocked from playing my classes.

 

Servers like Repz, F-PT, ExP, FL are an example.

Than you ask why IW didn't released servers onIW4, because one can't play the actual game without harassment... Just bought BF3 last week and the same thing, shit ton of items I'm not allowed to use or things I can't do.

 

Here's a list of things that getting me into a hassle on servers.

 

Camping

IW4 is an armed combat multiplayer game, it's not Tetris. You want it easy and not deal with players that aren't brainless rushers, play Single Player. Otherwise get some brain and adapt. I move on my time, not in the time that better suits you. There's 3 minutes to play in S&D, I do whatever I want, without cheating, in order to win, and no one has a word about it; Rules like "#1 No Camping" are a complete outright cheat, since they affect players game decisions and are only forced by admins that otherwise kick.

 

I get called a lot for camping at the spawn while attacking. Funny thing is the same fucks that call me, rush to my spawn, instead of defending the bombsites and taking their turn on camping. But the poor devils don't know how to do it and want to run all the time and then call me noob for waiting for them.

 

 

Claymore/C4/HBS/Thermal/OMA

A lot of servers have these blocked out or they kick if you use them. Again, they cheat the game into not having classes that oppose their common classes, making the game less diversified too.

When you ban claymores, there's no reason not to use Ninja Pro, since you don't need to check for explosives, making Sitrep Pro/Scrambler Pro not banned but rather useless. Same for Hearbeat Sensor if everyone is using Ninja Pro. Here is how balance goes.

 

Ninja Pro >eats> Heartbeat Sensor >eats> Sitrep >eats> Claymore >eats> Ninja Pro....

You take claymores and you break this, giving no disadvantage to Ninja Pro runners. So they cheat the game so they can rush around without worries.

 

Thermal is essential to punish Stopping Power users. Pop a smoke and kill them blind. So they cheat the game so they can use SP without opposition.

 

 

Underaged Moderators

Little fucks that find any excuse to kick you and force you to visit their clans forum or TS so you can sort things out with someone that is not a sore loser.

In a nutshell I like to play IW4 and use a variety of classes and am a bit sick of "pro-players" screwing Pubs because they think you play like a noob, even though you kill them all day, so they ban the things you use and ultimately ban you so they can prove the way they play is best.

I would only ban GL because there's nothing you can do to balance it out (They use Danger Close, so Blast Shield does nothing) and maybe G18 as it dominates closer combat completely with little to no disadvantage. Everything else is sort of balanced and there's no rational reason to ban, or harass players that use them.

I like this game for what it is, not for what it was cheated into so that some can dominate the game. Please leave the P R O competitive gaming, to clan wars.

Got temp banned yesterday on ExP (1-hour) for camping. Went to TS, no ban removed, and they stand on "You can't camp", so in my point of view it's the same crap harassment.

-I'm not posting so you can do something about the bans, but to talk about it. I think most of these issues are a mindset problem, so talking about it might change some minds.

 

- It's cheating because they remove things and persons of the game and make it unbalanced, since then they don't have to deal with a diversity of answers to they're strategy: rush. When you use hacks you get make changes to the game on your side that affects others negatively. Same thing when you strip other people of their classes or game-style, just for the purpose of not having to deal with it.

 

-Creating my own server is a good assessment, and the achilles tendon of any argumentation like this. Still, I don't find the rules or bans on my person legit.

 

Your assessment of camping is wrong.

I have won many S&D games at the spawn of by staying there 3/4 of the game and then moving out and planting the bomb.

When you sit back in a strong position the benefits are:

- You make the team make their bets in a 2-step style, instead of all-in.

- You cover your teams back from back-rapers.

- You kill over confident rushers.

- If all goes as planned you decrease the numbers of opponents and move out in advantage.

And there's nothing wrong with this, either if I stay in a spot for 30seconds or 2minutes. Matters how effective I am or not in winning the round.

 

The only bad camping imho in a game, is the one where you have 0 influence on the battlefield, hiding in dark corner where no one will ever pass by. Otherwise it's just the usual standard way to put up a fight:

You take a advantageous position, and control the game from there. If you need to move out to an objective or something, you do it after some enemies have dropped and you can proceed with better probabilities.

 

It's pretty simple and I don't get the fuss about it. Same thing in TDM. What is TDM about for a camper? Control the most profitable spot of the map, and block your enemy from getting it. I find quite stupid when people say things like "You're always there, move"; why would I handle a sweet spot to my opponent for free?

 

If ppl can't deal with players in cover (even with the noob-buggy FMJ around), I don't know what a heck are they doing in a armed combat game...

I would only ban GL because there's nothing you can do to balance it out

On our servers it's no camping if you're on offense.

This way people don't sit in the spawn building sniping through the little hole the whole entire game, because it gets annoying.

If you're on defense, camp away.

Also for the people wondering, our servers ban GL/AT4/RPG (pretty much the noob tube and the alternatives to it, you can still use the Stinger/Javelin freely to take down air support), and we disable final/last stand perks.

I don't ban that spot specifically. We simply say not to camp on offense, because if you're camping on offense then the player usually isn't playing objective.

If the Attacking player doesn't play the objective, he loses... and you win... Your whole point of Defending team is to prevent him to plant. I on the other hand play for the objective. I just don't rush to it like a headless chicken, and prefer to take out as many as I can before making my bets with defending campers... So it's not a matter if the camping player is being effective or not. In my experience I'm kicked exactly because I'm being effective.

 

So, no, there's no rational to giving warning and bans to players that are camping, sorry, you can't paint camping as ilegit in a armed combat game... It's like making a rule that you can't play twice with a Horse in Chess or forcing someone to move a piece when they rather not.

Agreed. DC and certain OMA combinations are one of the few things that I don't see any reason not to remove because they are very broken.

Since people set their own rules because they all think they are best, well. I agree with disabling ninja pro, claymores, marathon, rocket launchers, killstreaks since these ruin game adventure.

I seriously made this thread because on such servers, mods like to complain about how players run their own keyboards and game you see? Most of all, not just complain, but harass, name call, and kick/ban. You know, you where there doing it

 

I even know some that don't allow you to use your stuff then make ghost on Teamspeak, reporting people on both sides. Aka Cheating.

So... let me see... you died 4 times from a guy sitting in a spot, ok, then after that you go there, same way, nothing new, no new tactic, or timming, you just make that auto-pilot play, and BAAMMMM you get killed again and therefore must ban. Do you tie your own shoes?

I don't play this game to ruin the game for people, like other guys I know and hate. I play like a camper, because it is effective to win and allows some pretty plays. I use claymores because it's effective to kill Ninja Pro rushers. I use smoke grenades and Thermal, because it's effective to kill Stopping Power players. Do not try to paint me as a troll.

Agreed on GL, not on Claymore, since Ninja Pro is OP and abused with marathon and people run around like they don't need to care. Claymores force them to use Sitrep and not just staple Ninja Pro all the time. C4 is a must if you are alone and need to defend 2 bombsites or kill a shield guy.

I played 600hours of Quake 3, 300hours of Unreal Tournament, 1500hours Medal of Honor, 5000hours of Americas Army, 400hours Battlefield BC2, and did not see little kids mods bitching about one camping and silly rules that you can't do such things in a shooter and harassing/banning.

Also haven't seen servers where 20% of the game items are banned or made useless by such bans. Must be a grown up guys thing...

 

I find funny that I know almost every weapon stats, studied the game, because I liked it and wanted to do better, made my classes from there and then some kids that know nothing about the game, just use the same setup everyone else uses, call me noob, and don't allow me to do my thing. Kids will cheat to win easy, be it with hacks or silly rules, so that precisely they don't have to deal with it.

I have never seen a single person who had decent score in quake/ut by camping, since it's surely the worst thing you can do in those games
