I don't know if you have seen, that there are some Teams, that just changed the Masterserver from alterIWnet. On some, there use NTAuthority's Name and say "Thank you for this awesome Project!"

 

They copy the Project and mention NTA's name. Will he get the problems with Activision (again) ?

 

BTW: I tested "x" Just 5 Servers, ping is okay, Anti-Cheat works. Could be a alternative.

You're probably better of buying the Steam version, and then using the 'legal' version of aIW.

I'm pretty much playing there until NTAuthority finishes up IW4M.

 

They have also claimed that the whole C&D letter was a lie from AlterIWnet and that Activision never approached them at all.

They seem to think they're safe from everything because "they dont give a shit about Activision".

I dont think it'll ever be a reasonable alternative, but for now I enjoy playing there with my friends.

I don't consider it true, but here's a gay theory: There's been a lot of drama, arguments and power struggles in the aIW administration. If you see the people in this administration they are like the other half of the aIW admins/mods, personality-like. Could be a way to take control of the actual project, seeing that most of fd1-crew were actually doing something productive rather than shutting people up and writing rules

 

But yeah. It's legit, there's even photographic proof (though it could be counterfeited, but.. come on).

Quick imput from me:

 

All AlterIWnets that claim to have aIW and continue it are fakes. As stated by MaxDamage, AlterIW is dead and long gone (even tho servers are still up) so deal with it.

 

2 Steps you need:

 

* Save up money for Modern Warfare 2 on Steam.

 

* Wait for project to be completed and play happily ever after

That makes no sense at all. Even the people that are CURRENTLY on the aIW staff don't know with 100% certainty that the C&D is real, or for that matter any more than the rest of the community. We just trust that it is.
