Map I've been working on since the AlterIWNet era. Officially version 0.6, finally released for this client.

There is a server called "Arcadia 24/7 Server" in the list that runs the map on all available gametypes. Not really 24/7 because its on my home PC and I don't feel like running a server all day and night. And don't complaint about being able to get out of the map because the cars are in place to create a boundary for play and there is no real advantage to getting out.

Thanks to LoserSM for getting me started on all of this and Rendflex for the original entity editor on itsmods.

Where are you suppose to apply thee three folders in your games directory?

 

Some people are not craftsman's at modding M.W.2. maybe you should post instructions for NOOBS

What you need to do is not extract it and rename the extension from .zip to .iwd and put it in your mods/arcadia folder and load it as a mod.

Apologies... but when I downloaded the two files in the header or your thread

 

 

They are not recognized bu any program's... as you can see.

 

I know I am suppose to place the arcadia.ff in my \zone\english

 

But for some stupid reason I thought the z_arcadia_v0.6.iwd zip file that needed extraction, but it did extract which I thought I were to place the three folders

I did what you said to do instead an place the z_arcadia_v0.6.iwd file in my "Mods", but I saw no folder that said "arcadia", so I created a folder with that name an put it in there. C:\Program Files (x86)\Call Of Duty-Modern Warfare 2 M.P. Rip\mods\arcadia

 

When I started my M.W.2. M.P. rip I went to the MODS section, which I assume is where I am suppose to launch this map, I clicked on launch but then my game exists to desktop an restarts, but nothing happens?

 

 

I also tried to enter the map via "console" with the Server IP: connect 108.4.52.88:28961 you posted but it hangs when trying to connect, which I assume either I've not applied the files right, or the server is offline?

You are really close to getting the map to work. once you select the arcadia mod from the mod menu it should reload the main menu and then you can open the ingame console and execute "devmap arcadia" to load the map to play around with it by yourself. Yes my server isn't running because I'm out of town.

Thanx!! Worked out great, map loaded with no problem, will toy around on it, so far it looks excellent can't wait for this main to go main stream

 

Although... I did see that "FX" error people are talking about, but I know you can work that out.

 

Can't wait for you to get back in town so you could open the server for this map, any idea when you will be back to open up?

That's a great map. I strongly suggest to put additionnal invisible walls on both sides of the map since it's easy to get out.

I would love to see you do this as this is the result of my work over about 5 months...

The invisible walls are a suggestion. I thought you would like to get feedback since your map (correct me if i'm wrong) is not on it's final release.

And for the red house it was just a fantasy!
