Village

 

Info:

Village is a map I ported from SP with the help of Dasfonia. It is based on xetal's old source you can see

.

Village will (hopefuly) soon be released as the day version. For everyone who wants the night version, there will be a simple mod!

Those who are going to host a server can add this to their server.cfg:

set hunted_weather 2 // 0 = Fog | 1 = Rain | 2 = Random rain/fog

Random rain/fog is when you start a game on the map, it can either be rainy or foggy, but it won't start to rain during the match!

Safehouse; Arcadia; Caves; Village; Cliffhanger. But i can't SEE ANY SERVERS WITH THESE MAPS. Actually any people intresed in any custom map? I think no because most of custom map servers have 0 players :/.

Anyway i like this map and i hope someone will launch server with this map.

Because most of the players don't download those maps,so here's why they should be added as default

 

 

also can we have a server that have a daily playlist?Like in Steam IW5

The problem are not the players, the poroblem are the servers. There is a lil trick how to get a lot of players, but my connection is way too bad and i dont have enough time to host a server

When you like I can create a Village 24/7 Server... But I am not sure, if there a some players who want to play the map...

As I said, there is a trick to get a lot of players, but the map uses a different dependency as the svn, so the players will get the fx bug!

Ehm, how is using a diffrent dependency possible without a custom DLL? lol (assuming hexediting is 'custom' too)

Well, I preffer cleaner environments.

Although I think you could keep some "twin" sets.

"Village" and "Village_Winter" :P

 

p.s.: good that you continued with that map. Although small, it has a nice playable area with the houses.

As Paulofonta said, if you are going to add rain, try to create another version with a different dependency without rain. Or if there it is even possible, add a dvar to disable the rain like dc_whitehouse does.

Yeah, i had 2 ideas, either turn rain on and of by dvar or add dynamic weather to the map, so you have 2 minutes of rain, then 5 minutes no rain and then 5 minutes of storm or so.
