Finished it... The problems that already exist with demo loading are still present so don't complain about it.

 

*UPDATE* changed it to use the built in FS_ commands as well as a fix for if the game just decides not to record (readonly demos folder)

*UPDATE 2* final release with the new bugfixes from NTA as well as a binary release for everyone who isn't able to compile.... and if they delete it then everyone is screwed.....

 

Info:

Uses a .meta file that stores metadata. Redirected the /record and /stoprecord commands so that it outputs a .meta file for the demos that are recorded from now on.

Now loads the demo even if it doesn't have metadata (it was only required for demofixes which are no longer needed)

Installation:

Just extract to your mw2 folder and overwrite files as necessary.

JAJAJA, but seriously you can't read the OP *original post*? It shows that it's on the menu screen when you first launch iw4m.exe

instalation: copy to the mw2 folder - wtf?

If you download the "download" link given that's on an older revision and raw files. So you would be running on an older version. The source is what you compile with, download it, learn how to compile your own iw4m.dll's and include the theater mode to be on R96 or whatever revision.

This is outdated. If you want it to run with the latest release, you'll have to make a custom .DLL and fix up the code he included.

actually it's just hidaaan ._.

Because it requires a custom dll which will be disabled in the next release. And because it never REALLY worked as playback tools were never imppossible/possible.
