So, Most Wanted is comming out in a few days.

What do you think about it? What are your expectations from it?

I'll start first: I think that this is going to be the best Need for Speed ever, I've seen some gameplay footage, and I have a good feeling that it will be the best racing game I will ever play on.

From what I've seen so far I won't like it at all, simply because it's made by Criterion. I've played Hot Pursuit 2010 and I hated powersliding through the entire race with 300 km/h and the annoying rubberband AI. Sure, the graphics were awesome, but that was everything. I would rather call that thing Burnout than Need For Speed and play the original Most Wanted instead, because that's actually the best NFS out there imo.

At last, NFS returns to its roots.

waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat. you don't know how it should be.

Hopefully it will be like the first Most Wanted..

noooooope.avi

Look at the additional "extras" in this game.

Compare it to Burnout: Paradise

?????

PROFIT!

Look, there's NOTHING you can deny about the fact that this is Burnout: Paradise 2, just with cars that exists with some more customization options and some rozzers. Oh, and almost forgot, the Need For Speed brand.

Also, the original Most Wanted is by far a LOT better than this wannabe NFS game and nothing would ever beat NFSU2.

But, the thing is, since I'm not going to call this a true NFS game, and just call it Burnout: Paradise 2, I will get it (note: TBP) and check if it's any good. But still, it's not a proper NFS, just like all NFS games released the last 4 years.

Um, sir, I am playing NFS since the very beginning. I know how it was.

why would anyone care about NFS these days? I would prefer a fucking proper Burnout rather than a Burnout that tries to be NFS

For me it's like Burnout Paradise but the only diffrence is that there is real cars in it, and my favorite car EVER is in NFS Most Wanted 2012.

real cars

aka no over-the-top crash damage?

I'm pretty sure that the bumpers can fall off, and you can also damage pretty nicely but not as much as in Burnout I guess.

cause It's the only game where you can drive 200km/h around a corner :3

Um, sir, I am playing NFS since the very beginning. I know how it was.

I have played NFS since NFS2, when I was about 5 years old, lol. I would compare it to NFS:U, since it got customization. Now, the thing is, in NFS:U, NFS:U2, NFS:MW, you use money to get stuff. Here you have to use the car to get customizations. And you have to "find" cars to get them unlocked. Also, since you "find" cars, you don't start off with a mainstream and cheap car. Which removes the enjoyment of getting faster cars, because there's not much of a difference. Which makes me go back to Burnout: Paradise, that game is boring because you don't feel any progression in any way. And since this game appears to be very similar, It will most likely be the same story for this one too. But I'm guessing this will have a more linear way of playing, unlike Burnout: Paradise where you had every race available from the start, it's probably easier to see that you're progressing.

Also, all the additional stuff they've added which is from Burnout: Paradise, should've stayed in that game. All the multiplayer stuff, everything that's not relevant to anything in the game shouldn't have been there. It adds so much weight on the top that it will crush the game.

As NFS:U wasn't made to be super realistic, it was at least realistic in how you compete. Circuit, Sprint, Drag, Drift, the 4 modes that were simplisticly brilliant and laid the base for the later NFS games, until shit got fucked up. Now, with all these stupid multiplayer stuff like, CRASH INTO THE OTHER PLAYERS and JUMP AS FAR AS POSSIBLE or what they're called, will be the reason why I will always call this a Burnout game, not a NFS game.

Oh wait, Burnout: Paradise wasn't even a proper Burnout game, because it was WAY too "open world" and was extremely boring, even destroying cars was just lame, so what game is this? If it's not a proper NFS game and isn't actually a Burnout game, what the hell is it? Unnamed Racing Game 2...

Burnout: Paradise [..] was extremely boring

wat

my 100% completion would disagree with you

There was no connection between anything since all the races were available from the start technically and there was no sense of progression as it didn't seem like there was an ending to the game other than to 100% it.

Because of that I didn't enjoy it and didn't find it very entertaining.

correct though, the 'X wins to next license' *did* get annoying, but the initial 'let's get this race that's right near the finish of the last race/jump/smash' and the way you can get half the smashes during regular gameplay did provide for a nice interesting touch

somehow burnout3 doesn't seem to like this 128 MB memcard nor the VMC provided by OPL, and my damn original xbox with it doesn't seem to be here

Nope. Seems lame, nothing really like the first one. Another fail from the developers.

ea should put criterion on making another classical-style burnout but this time actually do a pc port as well

need for burnout speed: paradise

it actually looks like it could be interesting, but i cant compare it to the first one, it didnt even look like the same map in the videos...THEY BETTER ADD ONLINE FREE ROAM!

sadly i do not have enough money for it right now tho :(

the thing that made me want this game was the live action tv add that they made

if you want online free roam get need for speed: world, known as one of the worst NFS game ever. But doesn't NFS:MW have free roam in multiplayer? It's almost identical to burnout: paradise, which did have that.

i have played world, graphics are nice, free roam is nice, physics and the fact that you have to spend real money on everything is stupid
